The web portal devoted to research cooperation between Europe and Mediterranean region in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.

MAP-IT-MED.EU is the official website under the MAP-IT! project – (Knowledge Mapping of IT competencies in the Mediterranean region and dialogue fostering) and is funded by the European Commission under the FP6 IST Programme.MAP-IT! aims to highlight the opportunities for research collaboration in ICT between Europe and the Mediterranean region with a specific focus on the following MED partner countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia. Our final objective is to both create awareness of the many EU research funding opportunities to the MED stakeholders while simultaneously identifying top MED players to the European Commission to foster future strategic cooperation in the ICT fields.

Results from ICT 2008 in Lyon
Some 4,500 delegates registered for ICT 2008, making Lyon one of the best-attended ICT Events ever. The event presented Europe’s priorities for ICT research, development and funding.
An International Village was set up where MAP-IT! was present greeting those interested in the MED region.
